A tankless water heater is a system that heats water on demand as opposed to heating and storing water in a large tank. In other words, when you turn on the hot water faucet, the tankless system fires up and begins heating the water you need right then and there. Many people are choosing tankless systems because they take up less space, last longer, and can save you money on your energy bill. But how does a tankless water heater work? Keep reading to find out.

STEP 1 - Hot water tap is turned on

The first thing you need to do is make sure that hot water can flow through your pipes. This means turning on the faucet and letting it run until there are no more drips, then shutting off.”

STEP 2 - Water enters the heater

When your water heater is installed, it’s important to know that, unlike traditional tanks which contain hot or cool fluids and pipes for delivering this temperature where needed, tankless units don’t have such limitations. The sensors inside will detect when they need heating up so there’ll be no more waiting around while you’re trying desperately in vain try get some relief from these pins-and needles sensations!

STEP 3 - The water flow sensor detects the water flow

The internal computer instantly calculates how hot the burners need to be, to heat water. This can either happen with gas or electrical elements and provides a constant flow of very hot fluids without having to wait for tanks that may not always fill back up again when needed most.

STEP 4 - The computer automatically ignites the burner

With a tankless water heater, you can be sure that all of your hot water will come from one source. The burner begins heating the circulating flow until it reaches its designated temperature before exiting and beginning traveling through pipes with no need for storage or repetition to reach any given destination!
